We have 3 workshops scheduled for August.
August 11--Catholic Worker Farm, Lake City MN
August 27--Loon Organics, Hutchinson MN
August 31--Hoffbauer Farm, Duluth
NOTE: Not all the details are finalized yet. Workshops usually start at 9:00 or 10:00 and end about 3:30 - 4:00. You will receive more information after registering, closer to the date of the workshop.
PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
By the end of the on-farm workshop, you will have:
-Learned the most recent food safety information including GAPs audits and the Food Safety Modernization Act and what it may mean for your farm
-Toured the packing, washing, and storage facilities and learned about potential food safety issues on the farm and participated in problem solving
-Practiced writing food safety SOPs and risk assessment statements
You will receive a pre-loaded flashdrive with a food safety plan template and resources to help you learn more
What to bring:
1. Please bring a check or cash for $15 for lunch.
2. Dress for the weather.
3. A chair to sit on (workshops are on the farm, not in a classroom)
4. Pencil or pen and paper if you want to take notes.
5. Your food safety plan (if you have one)
6. All your questions!
