SWIP/SPS peer advisee sign-up
Fill out this form to request an advisor via the SWIP (Society for Women in Physics) - SPS (Society of Physics Students) joint peer advising program. You don't need to be a member of either SWIP or SPS to sign up, and students of any gender identity are welcome.

We will aim to match advisees with an advisor within a few weeks of their request. If matched, the advisor, will be directed to schedule an informal meeting to, for example, chat with you over coffee. Though you are encouraged to stay in touch with your advisor afterwards, participating in this program only requires a commitment to that initial meeting. You are welcome to submit multiple requests if you would like to meet with more than one advisor. Once this program is established, SWIP and SPS will likely also host mixer events for all participants.

All program participants are expected to abide by the SWIP code of conduct, linked here: https://docs.google.com/a/umich.edu/document/d/1xBQlGe-04_aT5NtGlxSuHpjIvCkMENeir2tRXA3dZlc/edit?usp=sharing

The only people able to view your responses to this form are the peer advising program administrators. During the 2018-19 academic year, they are the SWIP advocacy chair, Sara Simon (smsimon); the SWIP advocacy co-chair, Marina David (mmdavid); and the SPS Advocacy Chair, Morgan Hale (morgy).

Any questions about the program, or feedback about this form, can be directed to the admins individually, or to both of them at physics-mentoring-admins@umich.edu.
