Know Our Rights: A Day of Community Education and Coalition Building
School of Social Work Building |  March 11, 2017 |  10:00am - 3:00pm

In response to the current political climate, we, a coalition of student organizers  from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, in the Residential College, are hosting a day of “Know Our Rights” (KOR) workshops. The goal of these workshops is to educate students about their individual rights and the rights of their peers and allies.  The workshops are specifically tailored to address the rights of those whose identities are actively under threat, and foster the confidence in both the affected individuals and their allies (on and off-campus) to understand and assert their human and civil rights.

Please consider joining us for this day of education and coalition building. There is no minimum requirement for the number of workshops you must attend, and you are invited to come and go as you please between sessions. There will be self-directed healing spaces available throughout the day.

Here is the schedule for the day:
10:00am-10:40am: Collective Opening
11:00am-11:30am: Workshop Time #1
11:40am-12:10pm: Workshop Time #2
12:20pm-1:20pm: Lunch
1:30pm-2:00pm: Workshop Time #3
2:10pm-2:30pm: Collective Closing
