Freedmen’s Bureau Transcribe-a-thon: Friday, October 13, 11am - 3pm
The Michelle Smith Collaboratory and The AADHum (African American Digital Humanities) Initiative in the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Maryland in conjunction with the National Museum of African American History and Culture invite you to join us for a day of transcribing and dialogue about the Freedmen’s Bureau papers and their important role in helping illuminate the road from slavery to freedom in the African American experience. Participate online or in-person as we work to transcribe documents from the NMAAHC Freedmen’s Bureau Papers.
