The Provost's Sustainability Internship Program: Mentor Application
Thank you for your interest in the internship program.

Staff Mentor Applications due March 15, 2013

Staff accepted into the program will be required to present their internship at an informational session on April 4th,  from 5:30- 7:30 pm. Student applications are also due March 15, 2013 and student/staff interviews will be scheduled beginning the week of Apri 8th. We will announce final placements by the beginning of May.

The Provost's Sustainability Internship (PSI) program pairs students with staff mentors across campus departments who are leading and need assistance with a campus sustainability project. Students work 6-8 hours/week in fall quarter and increase to 12 -15 hours per week in winter and spring quarters. Staff mentors provide leadership, guidance, and resources that enable students to become effective partners in planning and implementing a campus sustainability project.

Departments contribute $250 per quarter, which the Sustainability Office matches to provide students with a $1500 scholarship at the end of the year (upon completion). Departments facing special hardship can request financial assistance by emailing the Program Manager, Shauna Casey at scasey@ucsc.edu.
