Philosophy Climate Committee Brown Bag Question Box
The UConn Philosophy Department has committed itself to maintaining a social climate in which everyone respects each other’s dignity as a person. As part of this commitment the department has formed the Philosophy Department Climate Committee. The Committee will be hosting a Brown Bag on November 2nd 2016 and would like your input. The goal is to provide a general introduction to climate issues and to those issues that arise in philosophy in particular. The topics we plan to cover include implicit bias; stereotype threat; bystander training; and feelings of alienation. If there are particular examples – either hypothetical, or real but anonymized – that you would like us to include in the presentation, or if there are questions about any of these issues that you would like answered but would prefer to ask anonymously, please use this form to submit them to the Committee.
