LGBTRC Scholarship Application 2017-2018

Dear Applicant:

Welcome to the application packet for the LGBT Resource Center scholarships for the 2017-2018 Academic Year!

The LGBT Resource Center is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for UC Irvine's diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and ally communities. We raise awareness, increase visibility, and engage in advocacy regarding LGBTQQIA issues. In addition, we provide opportunities for leadership and personal development, serve as a resource for LGBTQQIA students, and create programs and services that challenge heterosexism, homophobia, and gender identity oppression. We strive to develop an atmosphere of acceptance and wellbeing in which the campus community can support the academic mission of the university.

Currently, the LGBTRC offers two scholarships, each providing two awards for a total of four recipients. The enclosed details the eligibility and requirements for each scholarship. You may apply for one or both scholarships. If you have any questions about the application process or scholarships, please contact the LGBTRC Program Coordinator, DeeJay Brown, at (949) 824-3277 or via email at deejay.brown@uci.edu.

Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the LGBTRC End of Year Celebration.

Applications are DUE on May 27th no later than 5:00pm.

Thank You!
