Orientation 2017 Day of Service Sign Up!
What: Orientation 2017 Day of Service
When: August 5, 2017 8:00-12:00pm
Where: at various sites within our local community!

Here's a list of this year's sites:

1. Ronald McDonald House: The Ronald McDonald House within Hyde Park serves families with kids who are patients at Comer Children's Hospital. We will be helping out the staff by assisting with various household tasks (cleaning, repairs, etc).

2. YMCA: This site is located right in the heart of Hyde Park, 6 minutes away from the medical school. Volunteers will be assisting with maintenance or landscaping and/or coordinate group projects for this community facility.

3. Intergenerational Growing Project Community Gardens: Gregory Bratton organizes several garden plots across the city. These gardens produce thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables and employ local youth after school and during the summer. Many of the gardens’ namesakes are youth lost to community violence and volunteers work in their honor. We will help clear weeds and potentially harvest veggies as well as anything else Mr. Bratton has planned for us!
