Google has acquired the Israeli startup SlickLogin, an Israeli startup that replaces passwords with sound-based authentication. A supporting site sends an encrypted code via ultrasonic sound to a smartphone, which transmits the code to the server for authentication. The Wall Street Journal reports that Iran's breach of a Navy computer network was more extensive than previously thought. The Journal reported the hack back in September. At the time, the Navy said that intruders had been shut out of the site.
