- PrimeSense's original model used a large stationary sensor. Recently, PrimeSense released a smaller version called the "Capri," better for mobile

slNFL, MLB Tell Supreme Court: If Aereo Wins, We’re Bailing on Broadcasthttp://allthingsd.com/20131118/nfl-mlb-tell-supreme-court-if-aereo-wins-were-bailing-on-broadcast/

.

- If Aereo wins, no more Saturday night baseball or Sunday afternoon football on broadcast TV, say Major League Baseball and the National Football League.
The sports leagues lobbed a “friend of the court” brief to the Supreme Court last week, asking the court to take up the case, which pits broadcast station owners and programmers against Aereo, the IAC-backed startup that distributes broadcast signals over the Web, but doesn’t pay for them.
- leagues want the court to rule against Aereo. If it doesn’t, “the option for copyright holders will be to move that content to paid cable networks (such as ESPN and TNT) where Aereo-like services cannot hijack and exploit their programming without authorization,” the MLB and NFL’s lawyers wrote.
- Big Time Sports have already been moving from broadcast to cable for years. Monday Night Football on ESPN for example
q: if leagues try to drop programming deals with broadcasters in the event of an Aereo victory, could lawmakers stop them?

I am a RadioShack manger in Orlando, FL, big fan of all you guys love the show, thanks for your hard work.

In reference to yesterdays show, while I love the idea of Coin, I feel it will be difficult to secure the validity of a device like this for use in many stores. It would be great for quick stops and shops where you slide your own card and enter a pin.

However in my store it would not be accepted. I live in tourist central and with travelers from all over the world we are always on high fraud alert. It is easy now for someone to code a stolen card onto another. This device will make that even easier.

I think PayPal and services like it are more likely to work and become main stream. Many businesses including us, Disney (in Orlando) already accept it, you can link multiple cards with your PayPal account. Also you do not have to buy an expensive device or carry anything at all, not even an ID. Sarah mentioned that it would be a nice transition service; however, it will be too in-secure for anything other that small purchase requiring you to still carry ID and cards.

PS: It may interest you to know that with the advent of Disney's RF tickets and bracelets. You can link your Check/Credit Cards, and soon paypal. This new device lets you pay quickly and easily at anything Disney. You swipe your RF bracelet (you need a pin for larger purchases). I see this becoming main stream especially in cities like mine.

Michael
