We told you back in march about an app called FireChat that enables communication without the Internet. Instead, the app uses Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity Framework, which is a new feature in iOS 7 that enables mesh networking.
Well this morning we can report to you in a Tech News Today exclusive that a new app called HelloChat also uses Apple’s mesh networking technology, but for private chats rather than public posts. Unlike FireChat, which needs at least one user connected to the Internet, HelloChat works with zero internet connections, with everyone connecting peer-to-peer. The app is free.
