- Vimeo, the video sharing site, introduced Vimeo on Demand
- If you're a member of the Vimeo Pro service, you can sell your content or have it available for rental. You can set the rental period from 24 hours to 1 year as well set which countries can access it.
- Video is accessible online, on mobile devices, and connected TVs
- Rev Split: Vimeo says content makers get 90%, but there are some fees. AllThingsD ran a scenario with Vimeo on a hypothetical $4.99 sale and the content maker would end up with about 84% of the gross.
- The Vimeo Pro service is open to anyone willing to pay $200/year
- The first video using the service is a film called "It's a Beautiful Day" - rental will cost you $2, $6 for purchase

Q: Will Vimeo's new system grab more independent content producers? Should YouTube fear losing independent content makers?

How Many Calories are Burned with the Click of a Mouse?http://techcrunch.com/2013/03/11/someone-calculated-how-many-calories-a-mouse-click-burns/

.

“On average, 16.7 micromoles of ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) are consumed in moving one gram of muscle for one second. So, the total amount of ATP burned to move 11.7 grams of muscle in the index finger is approximately 195 micromoles (11.7g×16.7μ mol/g). There are 7.3 calories in one mole of ATP energy, so the number of calories burned in clicking the mouse equals about 1.42 (7.3/1000) X 195).”Book: Convert Anything to Calories

Hello TNT Crew,

I think the TiVo Mini is a great idea but a bit over priced. The main feature of the Mini is it lets you watch live TV using a tuner on a TiVo Premier 4 this means you can eliminate a cable box plus be able to watch shows recorded on the TiVo.

Comcast currently charges me $9.95 a month for each cable box so if I replace the cable box in the bedroom with a Mini with lifetime support ($250) it will pay for itself in a little over two years. The Mini also supports on demand for Comcast.

Unfortunately I own an older TiVo HD XL so I will need to replace my TiVo with a Premier 4 before I can use a Mini. I think the price point for the Mini with Lifetime Support should be $150 maybe as high as $199. TiVo could also offer bundle discounts of a Premiere 4 and a Mini to get people to upgrade their TiVo. Maybe offer free lifetime support on the Mini if you buy it with a TiVo Premier 4 or Premier XL4.

Love The Show,
RJ

Hey TNT Crew,

I just listened to Episode 707 and wanted to talk about the rumored 13 megapixel camera on the Galaxy S4. I'm a little concerned about a 13 megapixel camera on a phone due to the limited storage on the device and the cloud. I use the camera on my phone heavily because I have kids. I also have all my phone camera pictures automatically upload to the cloud. I know I would MUCH rather have better quality in the images than more megapixels. Is anyone else worried about pictures taking up too much space in their storage or am I the minority?
