"it is not our intention to sell your photos. We are working on updated language in the terms to make sure this is clear."
- What they want to do is show you friends who follow a business that is advertising.
- removing the language suggesting photos can be part of an advertisement
- Re-emphasized you own your photos, privacy settings won't change

Google Play Google+ Post re: Google Musichttps://plus.google.com/u/0/+GooglePlay/posts/VZhB6EpsWKx

.

Matching feature on the Google Play Music Manager
https://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2920799&topic=2450455&ctx=topic

.

- Google Music added a scan and match feature to its service in the U.S. (it's FREE up to 20k songs)
- Matched songs count against your 20,000 song limit
- Google Music in Europe already had this feature
- Previously, you had to upload all your songs
- Over time, the company will also upgrade users with existing cloud libraries by automatically matching what it can
- matched songs will be available for streaming at 320Kbps like regular Google Play purchases, while re-downloaded music will be available at or close to the bitrate of the original file

Q: Do any of these services (Amazon, Google, Apple) provide everything you want out of a cloud music service? Do we need a divide between music lockers and music streaming?

Hi TNT Crew,

I wanted to comment on your statement about the internet being hypocritical about Instagram’s policy change vs. the complaints about DRM. I think that this isn't being hypocritical at all, but is a response to situations in which consumers have no negotiation power when it comes to these user agreements and privacy policies other than their voice and their ability to leave the service, or in DRM’s case their voice and their buying power. To say that people that complain about DRM and Instagram are being hypocritical is like saying that users should just take whatever is given to them and be happy.

But that’s not how the free market is supposed to work. Consumers do have the ability to voice their opinions and move their service just like Instagram has to change their policy, and if a competitor comes along with more agreeable terms that people do like then that’s Instagrams loss.

Love the show,

Nate
