KKR, Silver Lake Vie for Hulu With Yahoo as Bids Heat Up
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-05-24/kkr-silver-lake-said-to-join-bidding-for-hulu-online-video-site.html

.

- AllThingsD reports that AT&T may join the Hulu bidding process
- AT&T is in discussions to team up with the Chernin Group to acquire Hulu
- The Chernin Group is headed by former News Corp COO Peter Chernin who also was very important in Hulu's creation

- Variety says that the bids right now are lower than the $2 billion Hulu reportedly sought in 2011
- Variety also reports that two of Hulu's current owners Walt Disney & News Corp want to sell their interest in hulu b/c it is "strategically misaligned with their own interests."
- Oh, one more thing. There's a relatively new bidder in the process according to Bloomberg. Talent agency William Morris is pairing up with Silver Lake to bid on Hulu.
- Variety says News Corp and Disney hopes to reach an agreement to the sale process within the next eight weeks

Q: So the list of suitors include DirecTV, TWC, Yahoo, now potentially AT&T/Chernin and then Silver Lake/WME. Does the thought of AT&T getting Hulu make anyone else feel a little sick?

TNT folks,

Living in Western Massachusetts we have JUST gotten Peapod in our area.

I am not so sure about getting fresh things delivered through Amazon but would be willing to try it.

I am with you Tom, being home for the delivery is a challenge. However, I would love the ability to order the groceries and pick them up at a specified place along my route back home from work. It would greatly reduce time spent in the store and also allow me to just swoop in and pick it all up quick. They could even do curbside takeaway style. You drive up and they recognise your car and bring them out to you.

Regards,
Phillip Dudas
