iaThe battle between Aereo all the broadcast networks continues. This time, Aereo is on the offensive by seeking a declaratory judgment from the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. tmGovernment Lab Reveals It Has Operated Quantum Internet For Over Two Yearshttp://www.technologyreview.com/view/514581/government-lab-reveals-quantum-internet-operated-continuously-for-over-two-years/

.

Quantum cryptography - measuring object changes it, tell if message has been read
- One-time pad can be sent then and used for classical encryption
- Current quantum systems are point-to-point. Routing means reading means changing.
- Quantum routers - some ways from commercial viability
- Richard Hughes and pals at Los Alamos National Labs in New Mexico, quantum network for 2.5 years
- Use a central hub to route. Hub decrypts and encrypts
- Only hub can receive quantum messages, nodes can only transmit (by laser)
- As long as hub stays secure, node devices are simple and plug-and-lay matchbox size.
Q: Useful, or should we just wait for quantum routers?

(Previously, Snap only worked on displays with that 1366-by-768 resolution.)
- listing names the processor as a 1.5GHz Apple A4, i.e. same chip in the original iPad. The item description in listing stated the Iconia W3 runs on Intel's dual-core Atom CPU. x86 processor sounds like full Windows 8, not Windows RT

Q: legit? is smaller the way to sell more win8 tablets?

- This week: Julie Crisp, editorial director at Tor UK, wrote that the publisher has seen “no discernible increase in piracy on any of our titles, despite them being DRM-free for nearly a year.”
Q: Should other publishers take this as a cue, or is it specific to Tor's audience?
