Hey there, TNT Crew. Devon from Trinidad & Tobago here. Long time viewer (mostly listener), first time commenter.

Regarding yesterday's (Show #855) discussion about flexible screens trapped in a rigid body, I can see at least one reason why this is a good thing. Since the screen is essentially made of plastic instead of glass, won't that mean that it can be more impact resistant?

The screen is normally the first part of a phone to break if it is dropped. If screens were made of a flexible material like plastic, I'm guessing they would become a bit more durable if dropped, since the impact would be absorbed by the plastic in some way.

Another reason why a rigid body is a good thing: batteries and most other components in a phone are not flexible (yet). So the rest of the phone can benefit from this protection as well.

On the other hand, a 'wraparound' type display that covers the entire front and back of a phone might be in the works for a couple of manufacturers out there. I suppose we will have to wait and see the outcome of this. Just my 1/50th of a dollar (two cents).

Thanks for the show! Keep up the fantastic work!!
