On Saturday April 12, Tom Tom Founders Festival will feature student innovators from the Charlottesville City & Albemarle County School systems, alongside educators and students from the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
The theme of Tom Tom's education programming in 2014 is "The Maker Revolution" and inspiring more teachers and students with an entrepreneurial mindset. We see the Genius Hour as an opportunity to display those concepts with real student innovators. Please see www.tomtomfest.com for full details about the festival and the education programming.
Registered participants in the Genius Hour Science Expo will be given 3x6 folding table and a designated area immediately around table, and are asked to exhibit information about one or two of their innovative projects and provide accompanying demonstrations. Some of the proposed slots include:
- 3D printing station illustrating collaboration of SEAS and public schools
- City school's BACON club
- participants in the Science Olympiad tournament
For each proposed project, please make an individual entry below.
Many thanks and hope to see you out on Saturday April 12!
