Beginner: Has never really worked with any programming languages, or worked a little with languages outside of ruby, but may have seen/heard of some programming concepts

Advanced Beginner: Has worked with other programming languages and may be familiar with programming concepts, but has not worked with Object Oriented programming, Ruby or Rails

Intermediate: Has written an Object Oriented program once or twice and used loops, methods etc. Has no experience of TDD, and may only know about Rails without having actually used it themselves
