Protect Our Parks Campaign Kickoff Meeting
In 2015, more than 305 million people visited our National Parks and more than 12 million visited designated wilderness areas. Our parks and forests provide us with clean air and water, recreation space, and economic stimulus. But, the outcome of the recent election has put our national parks and wilderness spaces at risk more than ever, and we're expecting to see relentless attacks on our public lands despite strong public support for our parks, rivers, and forests. We need to ensure that important laws like the Antiquities Act and the Wilderness Act that create and protect these places are not weakened or repealed.

Here in Chattanooga, we’re working to convince Senators Corker and Alexander to step up and defend these bedrock environmental protections. Over the next several months, we'll be organizing community events, collecting petition signatures, and building a broad coalition of local groups to show our senators that we support wilderness and won’t stand to see it disappear.

We need your help to protect our public lands. Come to our kickoff meeting to learn more about the campaign and how to get involved!

WHEN: Thursday January 26th, 6-7pm
WHERE: The Edney Innovation Center - 5th floor
