DC State Fair 2016 - Best Bud Contest Entry Form
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the DC State Fair Best Bud Contest!

The DC State Fair will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at NoMa Junction at Storey Park, 1200 First Street NE (near the NOMA Gallaudet Metro Station). The Best Bud contest will hold the preliminary judging event before the fair on Sunday, August 21; details about the dropoff venue will be provided to qualified registrants. The final five contestants will be judged at the fair on August 28.

Blue, red, and white ribbons will be awarded.

Who is eligible? What are the eligibility rules?

-The contest is open to District of Columbia residents ages 21 and older.
-You MUST show a valid drivers license or voter registration card to prove age and residency.
-Under no circumstances will a non-DC resident be admitted to the contest.
-All contestants must be age 21 or older.
-Entries MUST be grown in a private residence that legally allows growing bud.
-You may register up to three entries. You must submit a separate form for each entry.
-Your bud entry must be approximately 2 inches long and submitted in a glass mason jar with a lid.
-The contest is limited to the first 100 entries.
-Due to logistical constrictions, registration will close early if 100 entries are registered before the deadline.



You will be judged on the following criteria for 20 points each:

1. Sight
2. Smell
3. Touch
4. Cure
5. Trim

Points will be deducted for pests.
