2017 Stories Summer Institute Application
This is the official application for the 2017 Stories Summer Institute hosted by Texas Folklife. The Institute will be held June 21-28, with a public listening event the next day. Instruction will be held at the Texas Folklife Gallery (1708 Houston St, Austin, TX). The cost for attendance is $200, with scholarships available based on financial need. Austin-area educators selected for this workshop will automatically be entered to receive a scholarship for attendance. The Stories Summer Institute counts for a wide variety of professional development credits. For more information, contact Project Director Brian Griffith at stories@texasfolklife.org. If I am selected for the Summer Institute, I agree to attend all Summer Institute workshop and public events for the duration of the Institute (June 21-29), as well as complete at-home assignments, such as audio editing or script writing, to the best of my ability. If selected, I also agree to complete a short pre-Institute assignment and pay any remaining fees after the distribution of scholarships as a condition of my participation in the Summer Institute. If my situation changes before the Institute and I am unable to attend for any reason, I will notify Texas Folklife as soon as reasonably possible.
