TCSAAL was formed in 2007. TCSAAL serves over 250 Public Charter Schools throughout the state of Texas.

League & Regional Structure: TCSAAL will be divided into 6 different age groupings for athletic competitions.
Grouping 1: 4th–6th Grade - Grouping 2: 6th-8th Grade Premier (under 15) - Grouping 3: 6th-8th Grade Secondary (under 15) Grouping 4: 9th-10th Grade (Under 17) - Grouping 5: Junior Varsity (Under 19) - Grouping 6: Varsity (Under 19)

Athletic Regions Served: TCSAAL’s goal is to serve all charter schools throughout the state of Texas. However, due to the size of the state, athletic leagues will be divided into divisions. A division will be formed when a minimum of 2 teams sign up for the same league and sport in that particular area.

Athletic Regions Being Offered: North Texas (D/FW), South Texas (Texas Valley), Central Texas (Austin / San Antonio / Corpus Christi / Waco-Temple-Killeen areas) and East Texas (Houston Area)

Academic Activities: Due to the structure of the academic competitions, all schools, regardless of their location around the state, will be able to participate.

Please note that our 4th – 6th Grade, 6th-8th Grade Secondary, 9th-10th Grade, and Junior Varsity groupings do not advance to state. They will participate in a regional playoff tournament, but they will not advance to state. Teams do not have to enter a Varsity team to enter a JV team. In most cases, schools will have to enter a Premier 6th-8th Grade team before entering a Secondary 6th-8th grade team. See below and our Handbook for more information.

Seniors can participate in the Junior Varsity Level.

* Please note that if you register to provide your own officials, failure to do so in an activity may result in forfeiture of result.

NEW THIS YEAR:
*Varsity Volleyball is expanding to a 10-game season
*Competitive Cheer has been added.
*Base fee will include 1 coaches conference ticket. This will be to help increase participation in the conference. This will be a $40 savings from the cost of a coaches conference ticket.
* Secondary 6-8 Grade Grouping
- Please note that to register in the 6th-8th Grade Secondary Grouping you must meet one of the following requirements:
• You already have a team in the 6th-8th Grade Premier grouping for this specific activity and gender.
• This is your first year with the league and you choose to participate into our secondary grouping.
• Your school does not serve 8th grade(i.e. only goes to 6th or 7th).
• You are a Private school.

To ensure a spot for your school, please register for our 6-Man & 11-Man Tackle Football programs no later than March 30, 2018 and for all other athletics no later than April 20, 2018. We will start divisioning for next year's football and volleyball seasons after these deadlines. We will continue to take registrations until a month before an activity if space is available, but your spot will not be guaranteed. After completing this form, please mail in your base fee in order to guarantee your spot.

Base Fee: $1,200 for 2 years. Covers 2018-2019 & 2019-2020 School Year. If your school is only participating in academic activities, then pay only a base fee of $350.00 / year. Send in the base fee to guarantee your schools spot. The base fee also includes 1 ticket to the annual coaches conference.
