North Philadelphia Youth Advisory Council 2016-2017 Application
The North Philadelphia Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is comprised of 10 teens who meet weekly to exercise a power of agency in North Philadelphia's communities. The YAC organizes youth-led educational programs for the public each year. These programs are results of weekly discussion, event planning and research that our teens facilitate each week. We also engage in para-professional experiences related to their career choices.

The YAC is offered to high school age students (14-17), and enrolled in grades 9 and 10. Special consideration is given to students of color enrolled at Benjamin Franklin HS, Penn Treaty HS and Strawberry Mansion HS. We meet each Wednesday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Temple Contemporary (2001 N. 13th Street, Philadelphia PA, 19121). If chosen, applicants will participate in a group interview and will be notified of their selection via phone and/or email.
