    Transport Related

    Insurance requires transport volunteers to provide proof of a current, valid state-issued driver's license, as well as current automobile insurance.

    Administrative Related

    SVPP volunteers are crucial in helping to keep our administrative systems maintained and functioning well. We need help with everything administrative, including project management, data entry, mailings, correspondence, and many other day-to-day tasks.

    Special Event Planning & Fundraising

    SVPP holds a number of special fundraising events throughout the year that are a major source of our revenue. We need volunteers to help in every stage of planning and facilitating these special events. We also need volunteers who love fundraising in general.

    SVPP Matchmaker Program

    If SVPP can’t make a match of one of our rescue pets with a qualified adopter, we want to help the adopter find a rescue pet in our community. Our SVPP's Matchmaker Program has great growth potential and needs development now. We are looking to build a strong program team that will include volunteers to help identify and connect with pet-friendly homes, and implement adoption counseling for this unique program.

    Marketing & Communication - Online / Print / Merchandise / Media

    If you have an interest and skill in social media networking, graphic design, production, web or app development, copywriting, photography, videography, or online marketing, SVPP could use your talents for the creation of print/web marketing collateral (flyers, posters, ads, merchandise, web banners/mini-sites, dog or cat profile descriptions, photos, videos), and social media networking (writing/posting to our Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc).

    SVPP needs folks who have some experience reaching out to media. We're looking for folks who can write and distribute press releases, newsletters, etc.

    Adoption Coordinator

    SVPP needs help following up with potential adopters on adoption inquiries. If you have strong customer service skills, are detail oriented and very responsive on email, we would love you to join our team!

    Foster Parent Coordinator

    SVPP needs help coordinating support of our foster parents who are taking care of our rescue pets. If you have strong customer service skills, and can't foster yourself, but can help a foster parent get their animal ready for their forever home, please let us know!

    Behavioral Training (Certified trainers only, please)

    SVPP offers support to our new adopters and foster homes. We are looking for certified dog trainers and behavioral specialists to work directly with our new adopters and foster families.

    Community Outreach Team Member

    Help promote adoption events, fundraisers and special pets via Next Door, elist, etc., in specific neighborhoods. May also provide educational materials on animal welfare resources available to neighborhoods or participate in special projects.

    Inventory Management

    SVPP receives much-needed donations of supplies and equipment for the rescue pets, and we need skilled organizers to set up and maintain a simple, easy-to-use system. Volunteers will work on a weekly basis to cull through, organize, and maintain the supplies.
