In agreeing to participate in Pathfinders Mentorship Program host companies agree to the following terms and conditions: To provide a safe, healthy and hazard-free environment in which students will work. To adhere to all federal, state and local regulations regarding the employment of minors. To abide by the NYC Department of Education non-discrimination policy (see above) in working with students in the program and assigning tasks. To assign one or more responsible adults whose responsibilities include supervising students, assessing student progress, addressing problems students may encounter on the job, collaborating to design job specific tasks, and facilitating work-based training projects. To provide students with a work experience commensurate with students capabilities. The work experience should enable students to prepare for employment, and the work experience may be modified to augment and enhance the skills acquired by students on the job. To provide a work experience for all students that conforms to the Pathfinders program timeline (6 weeks) - To provide supplies, equipment, and services necessary for the work experience. To keep and maintain time and attendance records for students. To submit an evaluation report for each student at least once for their employment. To permit visits by the NYCDOE personnel for purposes of interviewing and observing students during their work routines, and interviewing work site supervisors.
