    About the Lesson

    Broadly, we can describe applied learning experience having the following features: 1. Active and relevant: We learn by doing and experiencing; we construct our knowledge and make meaning from what we learn 2. Authentic: Our learning is contextualised with tasks and resources drawn real world 3. Community-focused: We respect diverse ideas; we become more aware and get connected to issues in the community and world-at-large 4. Integrated: We understand and can transfer the knowledge and skills across subject disciplines to solve problems 5. Learner-centred: The lesson takes into account our interests and talents; it provides differentiating learning experiences 6. Processed-focused: The lesson helps to develop higher thinking skills; we learn and apply strategies to manage/ solve problems.
