SFA Graduate Student Conference Application
The Southern Foodways Alliance, in conjunction with the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, and the Graduate School at the University of Mississippi, will host their 5th annual Graduate Student Conference. The goal of the conference is to encourage rigorous academic work surrounding southern foodways, and to encourage communication and awareness of foodways scholarship across disciplines and schools. We welcome original research and multimedia projects that engage with the broad topic of social justice through the lens of southern foodways or agriculture.

The conference will be held at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS on September 11 and 12, 2017. Applications are due on May 5, and students will be notified of their status by May 12.
