Have you ever wished for a centralized directory that listed all the different types of educational resources, trainings and curriculums that peer specialists and family supporters can access to develop their skills and better promote mental health, trauma and substance use recovery and resiliency? And, wouldn’t it be great if that directory was cross referenced, so we could compare, contrast and identify cross-training opportunities? That is our wish too!
Texans for Recovery and Resiliency is a SAMHSA-supported statewide network collaboration between the Texas Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health and RecoveryPeople. Entering into our second year, we are committed to developing a centralized training directory that will be posted online and used to identify a cross-training opportunities and a strategic plan. Part of the strategic plan will be to offer a cross-training of trainers and an ongoing learning community that will support trainers as they brining the cross-training to their respective communities.
This is pretty ambitious, but with your help, we can make this wish come true. To capture our collective knowledge base, please complete this survey for each type of training or curriculum that you have experienced or heard about.
PLEASE NOTE: Answer the questions to the best of your ability. We will do more digging to fill in any blanks, if needed.
