#SGCSummit2017 Detroit Call for Speakers: Let's reinvent content...
Are you ready to take the stage and share your story at the 2017 Small Giants Summit in Detroit May 16-19? If so, we'd love to hear it. Deadline for submissions to the below form is January 20th, 2017. But, before you sign, seal and deliver, here are a few things you should know:

OUR THEME
We're excited to share that the theme for the 2017 Small Giants Summit will be "Reinvention." Our theme is inspired from the spirit and rebirth of Detroit, our basecamp for this year's Summit. Clever content and titles that align with the theme of reinventing your leadership, company, culture, trust, teams, growth strategies, stakeholder relationships, or even yourself are welcomed!

SESSION GUIDELINES
We have some specific rules around our presentations that make for a very unique experience for our attendees. We are a Community of practitioners who want to learn and grow from like-minded leaders. We are open to consultants, trainers, coaches and rock-star entrepreneurs; however, we want to hear who you are and how you grew and not what you sell or do.

We love storytelling, so sessions should include stories/case studies about challenges you’ve experienced in your company, and how you and your team have overcome them. Our attendees love honesty, genuineness, transparency and a big dose of humility. They also want to know how you measured results and what specific takeaways they can consider using in their own company.

We love participation so think of creative ways to include the audience in a discussion where possible.

THE SELLING RULE
If you break what we call the "selling" rule, lots of tomatoes will be thrown at you and we just can't protect you... BYOP (bring your own poncho). Direct mentions of your services must include client case studies and should be pertinent to your story or learning objective.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Final selections will go out by mid-February. The final conference schedule will be published once selections are made and speakers confirmed.

An online dry run of your presentation with the Small Giants team is required before you're added to the program. Trust us, it's worth it!

Live practice runs in Detroit the days preceding your session are optional, but will require a request from the speaker by April 1 and is subject to our venue set-up, availability and schedule. Subject to cancellation due to venue & staff availability.
