2017 Alternative Summer Break Application
Thank you for your interest in the A.S. Alternative Summer Break program! Alternative Summer Break (ASB) sends SJSU students on domestic and international service trips during the week of Summer Break. The ASB Program exposes SJSU students to diversity, cultural immersion, and political and economic differences in the global community.

In 2017, student participants will engage in the 12th Annual Intercambio between San Jose State and the families of the Ecoalebrijes Association in Oaxaca, Mexico. Dates for the trip are tentatively set for May 28-June 4. Students selected for the trip will be expected to make a travel contribution of $950, due in full before travel.

ASB is funded in part by the Associated Students' Cesar Chavez Community Action Center and coordinated in partnership with Dr. Kathleen Roe, SJSU Department of Health Science and Recreation.

Deadline to apply has been extended to Friday, December 2.
