Our Story
The Sexual Health Options, Resources & Education (SHORE) Centre, is a non-profit, sex positive, pro-choice organization located in downtown Kitchener offering pregnancy options support and education services. As part of our education services we are creating our second podcast in partnership with Kitchener Public Library - Sex-Ed Stories.
For this event we will be collecting and sharing people's memorable sex education stories. These stories can be about any topic including (but definitely not limited to):
• a story of learning about sexual health
• a story of teaching about sexual health
• a time you learned about sexual health from someone who was not qualified to teach it
• misinformation you were taught about sexual health
• funny stories about sex-ed class…the list goes on!
Please keep your stories short enough so that we are able to read it in under 5 minutes on our podcast! This way we will be able to get to as many of your stories as possible.
These stories should be about your own personal experiences or about people you know well. We can all benefit from hearing different perspectives on how different level of sexual health information has influenced our lives in both positive and negative ways. Stories are submitted through this form.
Must be 18 years of age or older to submit a story.
Deadline for submissions is October 24, 2020.
