TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM: The use of the technology is encouraged in class for learning purposes only. Students caught abusing this privilege (watching YouTube videos, playing games, texting, etc.) will be asked to put away their device. If the student is a repeat offender, the device may be taken away and parents must pick up the device from the office. Also, the privilege may be permanently revoked. *

ACADEMIC HONESTY: Assessments will be given periodically and any student caught talking during an assessment will earn a zero for academic dishonesty and a referral. Students will do his/her OWN work. Plagiarism is unacceptable. Students who are caught copying or allow others to copy his/her work will earn a zero for academic dishonesty and a referral. If there is any uncertainty on the requirements of an assignment, the student will talk with their teacher for clarity before the assignment is due. *

GRADES: They will be posted to AERIES (school grading system). Please have your student check his/her grade weekly and ensure they/you are aware of their performance in academics. Students ALWAYS have the ability to increase their grade in the class. Students who would like to improve her or his grade are highly encouraged to speak directly to their teacher. It is a school wide goal that all students are successful in their academics. Your student's teacher is happy to work with them if they feel as though their grade does not reflect their capabilities. *

My student and I understand that my student should check his/her grade frequently using the Aeries Portal. If there is a grade issue, students are to talk with their teacher directly about the multiple ways to raise his/her grade in history.
