Thank you for your interest in the Salem College Alumnae Admissions Representative (AAR) program!
Salem College Admissions is currently recruiting Alumnae Admissions Representatives (AARs) for the 2017-2018 recruitment cycle. As an AAR volunteer, we will rely on you as a partner in the Admissions process. Now, more than ever, we need you to help share the positive impact Salem College has had in your life.

We ask AARs for a commitment of 12 volunteer hours throughout the admission recruitment cycle (one hour per month) from July 1 to June 30. This time will mostly be spent keeping up to date on the exciting things happening on campus via monthly emails, bi-annual newsletters, and quarterly video conferences.

As an AAR, you may have the opportunity to:
1) attend a college fair or awards day ceremony in your community
2) host a send-off party for incoming first year students and returning Salem students
3) attend a Salem social for prospective students with an admissions counselor from your area
4) drop off materials at a local high school
5) share your Salem experiences with prospective students during an on-campus visitation events
6) call, email, or write prospective students, applicants, or parents
7) present a Salem College Alumnae Book Award to a junior in your area

The most important thing you can do for Admissions as well as the entire Salem Community is to talk about Salem in your communities: talk about your life-long relationships with friends and faculty, how Salem prepared you for life after graduation and your successes as a result of a Salem education.

To sign up, please complete the form below. We will be in touch with all new and returning AARs in July to kick off the next admissions recruitment cycle. Thank you for your partnership!

Quotes from Alumnae, Students, and Parents
"The scholarship I presented from Salem College was the largest scholarship presentation made at the ceremony, and everyone was duly impressed." (AAR)

"Thank you so much for attending our Senior Banquet last night at North Stokes. It meant so much to all of five us future Salem Sisters!" (Future Salem College Student)

"The Pine View High School awards ceremony was truly wonderful. The winner of the Salem College Book Award is a very impressive young woman and would be a perfect fit if she were to go to Salem. She and I plan to get together and talk about Salem College." (AAR)

"We didn’t know that a presenter would be in attendance nor did we know that Madison’s Salem Sisters Scholarship would be announced at the ceremony. Madison didn’t realize until the last minute what was happening and she was elated! She stood up and the crowd cheered so loud! She stood tall and proud of her acceptance to Salem and scholarships to Salem College that she was awarded. What a great moment for her, but even more for us as her parents Madison said that she had many teachers stop to congratulate her and let her know that they were Salem Sisters too. (Future Salem College Parent)

AARs in Action: In Spring 2017, AARs presented scholarship awards to 42 incoming first-year students!
