Art + Design Lab for HS Students: NOVEMBER CLASSES
Free classes for high school students at the RISD Museum of Art every Thursday in monthly sessions. Each monthly session focuses on specific themes and techniques. Explore how art and design can provoke fresh ideas, elicit conversation, and stimulate creativity. Meet at the 224 Benefit Street entrance, all materials provided.
The Studio Opens at 3:30PM- come hang out, bring something you have been working on, or work with the materials we provide. Class begins promptly at 4PM (don't be late!) and ends at 6PM.
Class title: Placemaking + Video
Class Dates: November 1, 8, 15, 20 (no class the 22nd)
Using video, students will activate, redefine, and recreate Museum spaces and places. Students will explore the meaning of “place” through the use of the museum galleries as their laboratory. Elements of video pre-production, such as mapping and storyboarding, are introduced, as well as basic editing techniques.
