Magön Chamdral text request form

Recently, Sogyal Rinpoche and Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche have given precise guidance and advice regarding the practice of Ma Gön Chamdral.

• From now on Ma Gön Chamdral should only be practised by those who have received the entrustment (katé in Tibetan) of Ma Gön Chamdral. To practise without the katé can create obstacles on your path.

• The Ma Gön Chamdral katé was given on only 4 occasions to the Rigpa sangha:
—by Yangthang Rinpoche in Lerab Ling on 8 August 2012 as part of the 2 month retreat, to the whole assembly, and
—by Trulshik Rinpoche to very small groups of students in Lerab Ling in 1999, 2003 and 2005. People from those groups took a life-time commitment to practise it daily without fail; they know who they are!

• The katé was NOT given to the general assembly by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche at Prapoutel, nor by Penor Rinpoche or Trulshik Rinpoche at Lerab Ling.

• If you have not received the katé, please stop practising Ma Gön Chamdral, unless:
—you have taken a life long commitment to practise Ma Gön Chamdral daily since the 1992 retreat, or
—you have been doing this practice regularly for a long time and wish to continue doing the practice, bearing in mind that it will no longer be included in group practices in the centres.
For these students, as Rinpoche said, we will try to organize a special blessing or entrustment from a qualified master soon. Once that opportunity arises, don’t miss it! Until then, you can continue practising Ma Gön Chamdral.

Due to these changes, this text is only available upon request and is not automatically included in the Daily Sadhana Book.

If you have received the katé or meet one of the exceptions mentioned above, please fill out this request form. If you have any questions please contact practice@rigpa.org

I would like to request permission to receive the text of the Magön Chamdral practice
