Robert H. Smith School of Business - Dingman Venture Fellowship (DVF)
REGISTRATION FORM FOR MATCHING FUNDS - FOR EMPLOYERS
To apply for consideration for the DVF, please complete this form.
Notes on criteria for consideration:
What is a startup? Consider the definition: “A startup company or startup is a company, a partnership or temporary organization designed to search for a repeatable and scalable business model. These companies, generally newly created, are in a phase of development and research for markets.”
For the purposes of the DVF, we target startup firms that are primarily:
• In seed-stage through early-stage financing
• In existence for 5 years or less
• Have less than 80 employees
• Exhibit a “rapid-growth” or “early-stage innovation” mindset
These are guidelines, not hard rules, and most firms that meet most of these will be considered as potential employers for the DVF.
