40-hour Training Volunteer Application

The Rape Recovery Center (RRC) utilizes volunteers for the Crisis Line, the Hospital Response, the Education team, and in the office. Our volunteers are extremely valuable to us and to our clients. The following information explains what volunteering for the RRC involves. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (801) 467-7282 or at s.sellers@raperecoverycenter.org.

Our Crisis Line, Hospital Response team and Education volunteers are mandated by the state to take the 40 hour advocacy training, put on by the Rape Recovery Center or the Utah Coalition against Sexual Assault (UCASA). We know that this is a large commitment. This class covers all aspects of sexual assault, crisis intervention, medical and legal resources, and victim healing. You will receive a Certificate of Completion as an Advocate for Survivors of Sexual Violence.
