Emerging artist: Checking this box qualifies you to compete against other emerging artists and if awarded, receive a free 1 month residency at LIW. In this category you may be a visual artist, writer or a musician. You may or may not be enrolled as a student at the time of your residency. Mid-Career or Established: Checking one of these boxes qualifies you to compete against other Mid-Career and/or Established Visual Artist and if awarded receive a $2500.00 stipend in addition to a free residency at LIW. You must be a practicing visual artists currently producing works of art. You must be a full-time resident of Oregon for at least 36 months prior to the application deadline and remain a resident through the duration of the grant period. You must be 30 years of age or older at the time of application. You must provide evidence, through your C.V. of seven or more years of active professional participation in your medium. You may not be enrolled in a degree-seeking program, either part-time or full-time.

Each resident is asked to engage with PNCA community. Beyond the required slide lecture we ask that you either create a one day workshop to be given during your stay, or dedicate a day at the college for class visits, critiques and other interactions with students.
