Leland Iron Works Residency Application
This form is for the 2018 summer/fall residency sessions (June - October). YOU MUST ALSO SUBMIT via google docs, as a google presentation, a portfolio of 10-15 recent (past 18 months) images, with captions for each image that include title, date, dimensions, materials and a very brief description. If applying as a Mid-Career or Established Artist you must also email a C.V. as a PDF. Submit all application materials and share the google presentation by sharing it with
cconant@pnca.edu . If all materials are not received you will not be considered, a reply will be sent upon receiving the google presentation as conformation that your application has been seen and will be considered by the jury.

EMERGING ARTIST: Checking this box qualifies you to compete against other emerging artists and if awarded, receive a free 1 month residency at LIW. In this category you may be a visual artist, writer or a musician. You may or may not be enrolled as a student at the time of your residency. MID_CAREER or ESTABLISHED: Checking one of these boxes qualifies you to compete against other Mid-Career and/or Established Visual Artist and if awarded receive a $2500.00 stipend in addition to a free residency at LIW. REQUIREMENTS: You must be a practicing visual artists currently producing works of art. You must be a full-time resident of Oregon for at least 36 months prior to the application deadline and remain a resident through the duration of the grant period. You must be 30 years of age or older at the time of application. You must provide evidence, through your C.V. of seven or more years of active professional participation in your medium. You may not be enrolled in a degree-seeking program, either part-time or full-time.  
If applying as an emerging artist, would you like to also be considered for an extended stay low-residency?
This option may be available to artist who do not necessarily require a designated studio space and who don't plan on staying overnight every night of their residency. By checking yes you may be considered for the opportunity to have two or three months of access to the property, some overnight access, and the use the shared classroom/living/kitchen space to work in as well as the outdoor area of the property.

How will you engage the PNCA community? We ask that each resident contribute to the PNCA community in some way after their residency is over, either on campus or at Leland. Your contribution will be developed while in residence and arranged after your residency ends so as to allow full focus on your studio work while a resident. *
