PHS is now a certifying organization for the Presidential Service Volunteer Awards. Now, more than ever, service is necessary to tackle the most pressing issues of our times, and many are accepting the challenge. The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) recognizes, celebrates and inspires community service leaders and volunteers to lead the charge. Through PVSA, PHS students are invited to participate and be recognized by our nation’s president for being active citizens. Presidential recognition will set our students apart from others through PVSA. It is a tremendous honor. Even though your student may not seek recognition, their example can deliver a powerful message that encourages others to take action. The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime. Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin, a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States and a letter from the President of Points of Light and the CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service. For more information, please visit the Presidential Service Volunteer Award website. For steps on how to log and certify your hours, please see the Assistant Principal (Counseling, Curriculum and Instruction).

We love our PHS teachers and want to show our appreciation of all they do by providing them with a clean, cozy and safe place to relax between classes, have a cup of coffee before school, conduct staff meetings, grade papers and have pot luck events. The lounge has not been updated for a very long time and is in need of TLC. Lori Adams and Lindsay Barstow have spent the past 8 months working with a committee comprised of teachers, administrators, custodial staff and parents to develop a plan and now it's time to raise the funds necessary to make the project a reality. For $75 you can "adopt a chair" and donations in any amount are enthusiastically welcomed. Please see full details here and show PHS teachers how much they are appreciated. How Much do Your Kids Spend each week at Mulberry’s?5% of every purchase amount goes to fund PHS programs when your child uses scrip cards instead of cash!
