Please review the commitments for yearbook and newspaper below.
South Paw (Yearbook)
--I understand that I must attend a staff meeting on May 11, 2021 at 3 p.m. in room C200. If I have sports or another unavoidable conflict, I must make arrangements with Mrs. Palmer and the new editors to meet at another time.
--I understand that it will be my responsibility to help sell yearbooks at registration to generate income for the yearbook. More information will be provided at the meeting on May 11.
--I understand that as a member of the yearbook staff, I will be required to work before and after school on assignments, including taking photos of school events. By joining staff, I make a commitment to fulfill these responsibilities and realize that I will need to be flexible with my other activities and/or work schedule to do so.
--I understand that I may be required to attend one after-school work night per month. These dates will be provided on the first day of school and will provide a minimum of three weeks notice for the first work night. Attendance will be worth points toward my final grade. Work nights missed for sports or other conflicts will need to be approved by a given date and time will need to be made up in Tutorial or another arranged time.
--I understand that the yearbook is a student publication with an established leadership structure. My peers will supervise my work and lead staff meetings; however, the adviser will assign my grade.
