Professor Juve J. Cortes is currently an adjunct professor in the Diplomacy & World Affairs department. He graduated from USC in 2015 with a PH.D in Politics and International Relations. During his time at Occidental College, he has taught a wide range of engaging course including: International Terrorism, Environmental Challenges, Physics for Future Presidents, and Public Diplomacy in the Western Hemisphere. If Professor Cortes is not offered a position as a tenure-track professor for the fall, he may have to move on to another college. This petition is to give the students of Occidental a voice and to show the administration that Prof. Cortes' departure would be a great loss to our academic community."
