Rabies vaccination at least 30 days and not more than 12 months prior to entry.
An accredited veterinarian must complete the Veterinary Certificate for Afghanistan for endorsement by the Governing Authority responsible for the import and export of pets in the coountry you are travelling from.
Proof of rabies vaccination should be included for endorsement.
Pets must enter Afghanistan as cargo only.

GermanyYesRabiesYesIf your pet is entering the country from a rabies-free or rabies-controlled country, it will need a rabies vaccination after the microchip is implanted and more than 21 days prior to entry but not more than the expiration date of the manufacturer of the vaccine. If your dog, cat or ferret has a current rabies vaccination but no microchip, it will have to be vaccinated again after the microchip is implanted and wait 21 days before travel.

The country apply the 3 year rabies vaccination for dogs, cats and ferrets entering the country from outside of the EU. When entering in from another EU Member State, annual rabies vaccinations maybe required.

Once you have entered the country, a 21 day waiting period is not required for subsequent visits, provided rabies boosters are kept up to date, and the other entry requirements are met.
