29 | Sponsors/Collaborators Link - | We have found that using visible workflows, assigning roles and responsibilities, and continious improvement techniques specifically for a large swarm can take any project or build to the next level of ownership. It will be a challenge because we have work to do and we have also learned that no matter how many people we have for the build - we won't get far without complete instructionals and a complete build process, articulated to the finest detail. To achieve this, we are inviting the global open source hacker community - we are holding a daily design sprint, refining procedures to master the workflow. We are working on a completion strategy for this workshop and we will be adapting to each new experience. Each night we will have a lesson on the next day's techniques. Using extreme manufacturing concepts - we are breaking the process into many parallel steps, swarming on tasks, redesigning interfaces between parts to allow easy assembly instructions, and creating contingency plans that ensure that the complete build will succeed. At the end of 4 days - we aim to have a complete house with CEB floors and walls - with a wood stove hydronic heat system, office, bathroom, and CEB patio. On the fifth day, we will review, discuss, and celebrate. | We know that this will be a challenge = because no matter how many people we have for the build - we won't get far without well-organized work flows and complete build instructions. To achieve this, we are inviting the global community - |

We want to show the world that natural building can be time effective, and thus a real option for housing - built via an economically competitive model - as a foundation for many entreprenuerial people to build their own houses. | Join us - for the design sessions and the build - for an epic expereince. |
32 | Exit message 2 - "Build your world." | We have seen that CEB construction requires serious equipment and a lot of work - but we believe that our Extreme Manufacturing swarm build model - combined with open source equipment and detailed instructions - can be a way forward. Our goal is to show that the Extreme Manufacturing can be a cost effective, fun, and educational way to build millions of houses around the world. If you are an entrepreneur, we would like to give you a special invitation. Can collaborative design to produce the best products in the world? Join us - in delivering this promise. | We have seen that CEB construction requires serious equipment and preparation to be efficient - but we believe that our XM process - combined with open source equipment and detailed instructions - can be a way to address the difficulties. We want to prove that such techinques can be cost effective - by millions of derivative houses being built around the world. That will take an entrepreneurial spirit. If you are an entrepreneur, we would like to give you a special invitation. Can collaborative design really produce the best products in the world? We can speculate on that - but for now - join us - in delivering this promise. |
