Fall 2016 Hiring Questionnaire (CLOSED!)
Thank you for your interest in working for the OCF!  We are in an exciting period of growth and are eager to build our program with proactive and engaged student staff who are interested in a job that gives them real responsibilities and provides a leadership development opportunity.

Open Computing Facility Overview

The OCF is a student-run, student-initiated service group and ASUC program dedicated to free computing for all University of California at Berkeley students, faculty, and staff. The OCF provides a computer lab in 171 Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union and offers a variety of services including web hosting for thousands of individuals and groups on campus.  For more information, visit https://ocf.io/about.

Job Overview

Please note that this is not just a front desk job.  The OCF’s operations have historically been supported by OCF volunteers and by paid student staff hired by the LEAD Center in a staff sharing arrangement between the OCF and the Publications and Media Center.  Now, the OCF is seeking an Operations Strategist to guide the creation of systems and structures enabling the OCF to transition to have its own dedicated paid staff beginning in the 2017-2018 year.
