SCHOOL PARKING REGULATIONS

Vehicles must be parked in Lot #2 in a parking spot designated by white lines. Lot #2 is in front of the Music and Science wings. Parking in a spot designated by yellow lines is prohibited.

UNDER THE VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW, SECTION 1670, ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING SCHOOL GROUNDS ARE ENTIRELY THE DISCRETION OF THE NIAGARA-WHEATFIELD SCHOOL OFFICIALS.

A parking application must be completed, approved and a parking permit issued before a vehicle can be driven to school.

All vehicles parked on the school grounds must be registered with the school and display the current parking permit. The parking permit must be placed on the driver's side rear passenger window in the lower corner and remain visible for inspection at anytime.

Faculty/Student/Visitor and Handicapped parking is marked accordingly. Students parking anywhere other than STUDENT parking area will be towed at the owner’s expense. All students must be licensed and covered by insurance. The school is NOT responsible for the vehicle or it’s contents. The school provides parking lot security on a very limited basis.

There will be no speeding or any form of reckless driving on school grounds. The campus speed limit is 10 mph-STOP SIGNS MUST BE OBEYED.

Student vehicles may be subject to search if there are reasonable grounds to believe drugs, alcohol, stolen property, or other contraband might be present in that vehicle.

TARDINESS, ABSENCE, TRUANCY & UNACCEPTABLE DISCIPLINE RECORDS will result in the denial/suspension of driving privileges. (This decision will be determined at the High School Principal’s discretion.)

Students who drive and/or park on school property without a valid parking permit or after their parking permit has been suspended, will be TOWED at the owner’s expense with no further warning.

Students may not share permits.

Students that must drive a vehicle to school other than the one that was registered on the original application-must see Mrs. Croisdale in the Main Office upon arrival.

Students that purchase a new/different vehicle, must complete a vehicle change form. These forms are available in the Main Office.

Students applying for and receiving a parking permit fully understand their responsibility in following the above rules.
