The Violence Against Women Act covers everything from law enforcement training for working with rape victims, to visas for immigrant women to flee their abusers, to nondiscrimination protections for LGBT survivors of violence, to protections for Native American women. These programs have revolutionized our nation's response to violence against women.

Would you like to talk about the importance of preserving these programs and services? Tell your own story or speak out for your organization or for a friend or family member. Be sure to include your question for Representative Faso in your remarks, such as, "Will you commit to fighting to fully fund VAWA?"

All of the testimony we collect (written and spoken) will be presented to our Congressional leaders to make our case to preserve and expand VAWA.

If you would like to submit anonymous testimony, please email nownewyorkstate@gmail.com or call 212.627.9895.
