The Maintenance Department would like to honor the memory of Mr. Rackley by naming the building that houses all of the Paint/Grounds team members after a gentleman that was considered to be a true asset to Maintenance Operations. Mr. Rackley had a significant impact on his staff, as well as the school district in general. Many kind words and special memories about him are still being shared today. He worked as a trusted member and Foreman of the SMART Team within Maintenance. This was a group assembled from the different trades to respond to the needs at each site. He was also a trusted member of the “On-Call” Team for many years. This team responds to emergency situations 24/7, 365 days a year. Naming the building that contains the personnel he directly supervised would allow them to honor his contributions and preserve his memory as a valuable member of the Maintenance Operations staff.
