You will need an approximately 500-700 word nomination statement, entered into this form, addressing the following questions:
1. How do you (the nominating students) know this professor and what are your primary reasons for nominating him or her?
2. What is this professor’s greatest strength as a teacher? Give a specific example that illustrates this.
In addition to your written statement, at least three and no more than six nominators from your group will have a thirty-minute interview with members from the Faculty Development Committee (FDC). This interview will be recorded so all FDC members will have the opportunity to view it. The recording will be viewed only by FDC members and will be deleted after the selections are made.
Once we have made up a schedule, you will be asked to choose an interview time in another online form.
The names of all nominees will be announced at the Founders’ Faculty Dinner in May, where the College President will present the awards to the two recipients. Until then, the names of all nominees will be kept confidential.
