A day and time will be scheduled in September for students to engage in a book discussion with their peers who read the same book, and the teacher who recommended the book. Students are required to take brief notes while reading the book in preparation for the book discussion. One side of a sheet of paper is sufficient for the notes. Students will bring both the book (hard copy or electronic) and the page of notes to the Summer Reading discussion in September.
Based on your notes and participation in the book discussion, students will receive a Pass/Fail grade. Your participation in the Summer Reading program will be recorded on your official Milford High School transcript and a passing grade will be worth 0.5 credits.
Students must select a book by June 20, 2017. Students who do not select a book by June 20 will be assigned one of the selections.
We hope you enjoy our new Summer Reading Program!Best regards,Mrs. Banach
