2020 UMM Jazz Fest Online Registration - Friday, April 3
The UMM Jazz Fest is a non-competitive festival open to middle school and high school jazz ensembles and combos. Each group will perform on one of our main stages and then receive a clinic with one of our guest artists/clinicians. Registration includes tickets to attend the evening concert featuring the guest artists, UMM Jazz Ensemble 1, the UMM Alumni Jazzers Big Band, the West-Central All-Stars Big Band, and the student "Outstanding Soloist" award winners!

We can only accommodate a limited number of ensembles each year, so we recommend registering early to insure space for your group.

FEATURES FOR 2020:
• Outstanding Soloist Awards - Multiple "outstanding soloists" will be selected to perform during the evening concert.
• Clinics for Each Instrument Section - Afternoon masterclasses offering something for each instrument/section (saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and rhythm section)
• "Meet the Artists" Question and Answer Session - Come meet all of our guest artists in an informal Q&A session.
• Separate jazz combo registration (see info below). This a great option for schools that do not have, or cannot bring an entire big band.
• Friday Evening Jam Session - Guest Artists and UMM students will host an after-hours jam session on Friday evening. Anyone is welcome to play!

REGISTRATION AND TICKETS:
Jazz Ensembles (ensembles with 9 or more students): Festival registration fee for a single jazz ensemble is $250. Additional ensembles are $200. This fee includes:
• 25 minute performance on one of our main stages (Edson Auditorium or Recital Hall)
• 25 minute clinic with one of our guest artists/clinicians
• Admission to all daytime school and highlighted performances
• Admission to all jazz masterclasses
• Up to 19 tickets (student and/or director) for evening performance. Additional tickets beyond 19 must be purchased in addition to the ensemble registration fee.

Jazz Combos (8 or less students): Festival registration fee for a single jazz combo is $175. Additional jazz combos are $150. This fee includes:
• 20 minute performance on one of our main stages (Edson Auditorium or Recital Hall)
• 20 minute clinic with one of our guest artists/clinicians
• Admission to all daytime school and highlighted performances
• Admission to all jazz masterclasses
• Up to 9 tickets (student and/or director) for evening performance. Additional tickets beyond 9 must be purchased in addition to the ensemble registration fee.

Additional tickets to the evening performance are $10.00

PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Payments are accepted by check or credit card. You must submit your registration information before making payment. All payments are due within 15 days of registering. Failure to make payment within 15 days may result in losing your spot.
